China Machine Tool & Tool Builders' Association (CMTBA) established in March 1988. CMTBA is an industry, non-profit organization unrestricted by region or industry jurisdiction. It mainly consists of the manufacturing enterprises of China's machine tool & tool industry and its members include state-owned enterprises (groups), non-governmental enterprises, trading and sales companies, scientific research and design institutes, colleges and universities. They join the association on a voluntary basis. CMTBA has more than 1,650 members. Their products cover the metal-cutting machine, metal-forming machine, foundry machine, non-traditional processing machine, modular machine, CNC machine, FMC, FMS, woodworking machine, inspection and measuring machine and equipment, tool and tooling, numerical control system, key components, accessory and ancillary equipment, abrasives and grinding wheel, CBN and synthetic diamonds, assembly and manipulation equipment and industrial robot etc. The permanent organization (headquarters) of CMTBA is in Beijing.
