Organized by the China Machine Tool and Tool Builders’ Association, the Ninth China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT 2005) will be held from April 11 to 17 atthe China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing.
Exhibits will be shown at the16 exhibition halls in the centre, including two temporary halls, with a total area of 72,000 square metres.
More than 1,000 leading enterprises from approximately 30countries and regions, including Germany, the United States, Japan, Switzerland, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Korea, India, as well as the Chinese mainland, Taiwan Province and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will be showing their latest products and technologies.
Overseas companies will account for more than 50 per cent of the total number of exhibitors.
These include Cincinnati Lamb, Harding Brother, Giddings & Lewis, Haas Automation, Kenemetal, Gleason Works and Moor from the United States; DMG Vewtriebs, Walter Klenlnder, Siemens and Schlefring from Germany;
Mikron, Agie Charmilles, Studer and Reishauer from Switzerland; Salvagnini, Rambaudi, Mandelli and Jobs from Italy; Reinishaw and 600 Machinery International from theUnited Kingdom; Sajo and Sandvik from Sweden; Yamazaki Mazak,Mori Seiki, Okuma and Makino from Japan as well as Daewoo and Kia from the Republic of Korea.
Famous domestic enterprises such as Beijing Machine Tool Group, Shenyang Machine Tool Group and Shanghai Machine Tool Group, Jinan No 2 Machine Tool Group,Harbin Measuring and Cutting Tools Plant will also display their products.
Exhibits at the CIMT 2005 will include digitized machine manufacturing equipment, automobile manufacturing equipment, mould manufacturing equipment, software and hardware for manufacturing process automation, metal cutting machines, comprehensive machine tools, machining centers, industrial robots, flexible manufacturing modules and systems, press equipment, sheet and wire metalworking equipment, motorized spindles, numeri-cal control systems, server systems, measuring tools, "abrasives, spare parts and electronic equipment for machine tools.
In addition, such new and high technologies as network-aid manufacturing, nano processing, high-speed cutting, multifunctional machining, intelligent manufacturing, environmentally-friendly manufacturing and computer applications will be on
show at the event.
An international forum on the latest development trend of digitized manufacturing technology and equipment and other seminars will run simultaneously.
Experts from world-famous machine tool and manufacturing equipment companies and research institutions will share their experiences and innovative ideas with the visitors.
